What is Artemis?

Artemis is a data observability and resolution platform that helps you understand what's wrong in your data stack, find optimizations, improve performance and fixes issues!

Basic Concepts

Workspace

An Artemis workspace is space for all your projects, insights, tasks, and trajectories relating to an individual company. As a user, you can have an account linked to your organization's workspace.

Connections

A connection integrates Artemis and other tools such as Snowflake, Github, Slack, Linear, etc. These connections give Artemis context, access to metadata, and connection to daily internal tools and are used to improve your experience.

Resources

A resource is built using metadata from platforms such as data warehouses, dbt and more to create custom lineage and context. These resources can be knowledge graphs or other deterministic tools which feed insight engines with context. They take inferences from your behaviour within the app, recipes, and connection changes. These are built and are defined by the Artemis team.

Insights

Insights leverage resources to provide insights about your data stack. Analyzing patterns, anomalies, and trends in your stack, insights offer a look into where your stack is performing well and how it can improve. Insights are shown as a task. If an insight is not relevant, you can discard it.
